Hey! 👋 My name is Damian

I’ve been a software engineer for 8 years now. During this time I romanced with plenty of technologies, having worked with Ruby, Python, JS, and AWS, but my main focus has always been web development. I consciously pick projects that I work on, with the majority being focused on education and healthcare. All of them had interesting challenges to work on, among them:

🏥 Healthcare apps needed to be HIPAA compliant, so the security had to be top-notch

📨 There were apps dependent on timely delivery of big message batches to the end-users

⏱ I needed to implement performant reporting spanning several database models.

I had the opportunity to work with great and talented people, from whom I learned a lot about proper coding. Their input helped me a lot, so I'd love to pass that knowledge further for others to benefit from it.

When I'm not ears-deep in code, you can usually find me spending time with my family. I enjoy climbing and cycling. I'm also a music nerd and a bass player 🤓 If you know a tune with a cool bassline let me know so that I could try to learn it 😉
